Kryla Hopak

In 2004, Nathaniel Ostashewski (Cheremosh, Kryla) and Bohdan Tkachyshyn (Nadiya, Yunist) collaborated to create an original HOPAK choreography for the Kryla Ukrainian Dancers.  With original music orchestrated in Ukraine, this signature dance choreography, with influences that reflect the Ukraine and Canadian styles of HOPAK, will be performed for many years by the Kryla Ukrainian Dancers.

With encore pieces that include dancers from the whole Kryla dance school, this HOPAK will certainly be one that audiences enjoy and remember year after year.  If Peroghies are the Ukrainian influence on Canadian food, then the HOPAK is certainly the  influence on Canadian dance!
